For nearly 50 years, the Storm King Art Center has inspired visitors.  Our collection of modern sculpture unfolds within a varied and stunning 500-acre landscape of rolling hills, fields, woodlands, and long mountain vistas.  Visitors meander on trails and traverse fields of native grasses to discover monumental as well as intimate sculptures.

Created from co-founders Ralph E. Ogden and H. Peter Stern’s vision to bring the interrelationship of a remarkable landscape and great sculpture to its full potential, Storm King Art Center has evolved into one of the leading sculpture parks in the world.  Your loyal support is crucial to our continued success and development.

As we approach our 50th anniversary in 2010, conservation of the collection and our beautiful landscape requires greater time and resources.  Sculpture conservation now includes not only cleaning and repainting but also more substantial and costly work such as foundation repairs and even refabrication.  We are also assessing and improving the visitor experience in various ways such as streamlining admission and enhancing our educational programs and informational materials.
