Free Style Arts Association is a group of artists that create participatory public sculptures. For the past 15 years they have been engaging people in public places, inviting people to do projects such as painting on their suits, adding to collaborative sculptures of hula hoops, drawing with remote control cars, playing music on giant xylophones, and creating city-block-long string sculptures. Their sculptures manifest as commissions by community-based art funders, museums, galleries, schools, colleges, and businesses to build a community’s creative confidence and interest in the arts.
