Children and Families: Making Monochromes

Get inspired by David Smith’s white sculptures and construct your own monochromatic masterpiece. Led by Nina Carlson.

- This workshop is inspired by the 2017 exhibition David Smith: The White Sculptures
Nina Carlson is an artist-educator based in the Hudson Valley. Her teaching practice extends from the classroom—where she teaches studio art and art history at the high school level—to museums and arts organizations in the community. Over the past five seasons, Nina has run programs at Storm King for audiences of all ages. She has also led workshops at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, where she served as Education Director, Dia:Beacon, the Katonah Museum of Art, and the Garrison Art Center, where she is serves on the Board of Trustees. Nina received her BFA in Sculpture from Pratt Institute and an MSED from Bank Street College of Education in Leadership in Museum Education.
