Participants are invited to weave mu lti-colored textiles into 10-foot-tall sphere armatures. These interactive sculptures will playfully roll around the open fields of Storm King.\n\n Program location: South Fields\n Suggested age range: all ages\n\nFree S tyle Arts Association is a group of artists that create participatory publ ic sculptures. For over 20 years they have been engaging people in public places\, inviting people to do projects such as painting on their suits\, adding to collaborative sculptures of hula hoops\, drawing with remote con trol cars\, playing music on giant xylophones\, and creating city-block-lo ng string sculptures. Their sculptures manifest as commissions by communit y-based art funders\, museums\, galleries\, schools\, colleges\, and busin esses to build a community’s creative confidence and interest in the art s.\n\nACCESSIBILITY\nTerrain\nThe program will take place on grass\, just off of a paved path. The program location is about 1 mile from the entranc e along mostly level paved paths. Visitors may take the free\, wheelchair- accessible Tram Loop from stop 1 at the base of the entrance path\, to sto p 2 near the program location. Trams depart from stop 1 at 15 and 45 minut es after each hour\n\nRestrooms\nAccessible\, single-occupancy restroom st alls are located in the Outdoor Lobby\, near the entrance. Portable restro oms\, including an ADA stall are located about ¼ mile from the program lo cation off a level gravel path.\n\nASL interpretation\, and Assistive List ening Devices with T-coil capabilities are available upon request at least two weeks in advance.
