SUMMARY:Children & Families: River Response
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\nCreate a poetic conversation! Participants will res
 pond to Saif Azzuz’s sculpture weych-pues / tàkhòne (where the riv
 ers meet) by imagining the thoughts of both the sturgeon and the watery e
 nvironment in which it resides. These will then be cut and configured into
  a two-person poem. This program will be led by Mala Hoffman.\n\n 	Program
  location: Museum Hill\n 	Suggested age range: all ages\n 	Free with admis
 sion\, no registration required\n\n\n\n\nMala Hoffman is a poet and educat
 or who lives in Gardiner\, N.Y. Her work has appeared in the Village Voice
 \, Chronogram\, Awosting Alchemy\, Literary Gazette and edna \, among othe
 rs. Her poetry collections include Half Moon Over Midnight (Paper Kite Pre
 ss)\, A Year of Wednesdays(Finishing Line Press)\, Becoming Bubbe (The Poe
 t’s Haven)\, and A History of Place (Finishing Line Press).She is also t
 he co-author\, with her daughter Lucy Moran\, of Dispelling the Shadow: Ac
 tivities Exploring Life and Death with Young People (Routledge). Her most 
 recent work is How to Live with Ghosts\, published by Bottlecap Press in 2
 025.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nACCESSIBILITY\n\nTerrain and Getting Around\nThis progra
 m will take place on grass\, just off of a paved path. The program locatio
 n is about 1 mile from the entrance along mostly level paved paths. Visito
 rs may take the free\, wheelchair-accessible Tram Loop from stop 1 at the 
 base of the entrance path to stop 4 near the Storm King Environmental Fiel
 d Station\, and then take the Elevator up to Museum Hill. Trams depart fro
 m stop 1 at 15 and 45 minutes after each hour.\n\nRestrooms\nAccessible\, 
 single-occupancy restroom stalls are located in the Outdoor Lobby\, near t
 he entrance. Portable restrooms\, including an ADA stall are located on Mu
 seum Hill.\n\nASL interpretation\, and Assistive Listening Devices with T-
 coil capabilities are available upon request at least two weeks in advanc
