Experience Storm King’s winter landscape through the eyes of an explorer! Discover the sweet success of trees on this family-friendly walk. Learn about a variety of trees at Storm King, including the maple, used for centuries to make maple syrup. Find out how wildlife and humans rely on trees, even in winter. Organized with Hudson Highlands Nature Museum.
- Program location: Meet on Museum Hill
- Suggested age range: all ages
- Winter Weekend tours are approximately 45 – 60 minutes and take place outdoors, so please dress warmly and wear comfortable boots/shoes. Free with admission, no registration required.
Founded in 1959, the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum is a center for nature, with a focus on environmental education as a mission to develop responsible caretakers of the natural world. Over the years it has developed quality educational programs for students and the public that focus on the unique ecology of the Hudson Highlands and promote knowledge and appreciation of our natural world.
