SUMMARY:Geology of Storm King
DESCRIPTION:Hike with geologist Kim Fendrich to explore the deep connection
 s between art and geology at Storm King. The tour will visit several key s
 culptures and landscapes at Storm King that were developed with geologic m
 aterials both from the local area and around the world. Learn about how th
 e geologic forces of earth shaped Storm King’s place in the Hudson Valle
 y\, and how artists have come to collaborate with the story of these natur
 al elements.\n\nProgram Notes\n\n 	Tickets will be available on October 15
  at 10AM\n 	Program location: Meet at Outdoor Lobby\n 	Free with admission
 \, registration required.\n 	Please note this tour will be approximately t
 hree hours long\, traveling on foot over varied terrain. Dress warmly and 
 bring hiking boots or sneakers\, water\, and snacks.\n\n\n\n[caption id="a

 n]\n\n\nKim Fendrich has a passion for connecting people with the land and
  its complex geologic history with the goal of inspiring environmental ste
 wardship. Over the last 10 years\, her classroom space has evolved from th
 e collegiate setting at the University of Arizona to the American Museum o
 f Natural History\, and finally to the great outdoors. Kim is the Program 
 Manager at Westchester Land Trust with a M.S. in geosciences from the Univ
 ersity of Arizona.\n\n\n\nACCESSIBILITY\nTerrain and Getting Around\nThe t
 our will take place across varied terrain including hills\, wooded areas\,
  paved paths\, gravel paths\, and mown lawn. Expect to cover 1.5 to 2 mile
 s on the tour.\n\nAccessible Cart Service\nAn accessible golf cart may be 
 requested to assist with moving between sculptures during the hike. Servic
 e is available on a first come\, first served basis. Please make a request
  in advance by emailing info@stormkingartcenter.org.  The cart can accom
 modate up to five visitors sitting in seats\; or one wheelchair-using visi
 tor with up to three additional passengers in seats. The weight capacity f
 or the ramp is 650lbs.\n\nRestrooms\nAccessible restroom stalls are locate
 d near the entrance.\n\nASL interpretation for guided tours is available u
 pon request two weeks in advance. Every effort will be made to honor reque
