6:45pm — 8:45pm
A group of six women gather to dance at dusk in the midst of Arlene Shechet’s Girl Group. Dance as sculpture: sculpture as dance.
Join us for an evening performance that will move across the landscape through Arlene Shechet’s Girl Group.
Choreography by Annie-B Parson in collaboration with the dancers: Cecily Campbell, Elizabeth DeMent, Natalie Green, Kashia Kancey, Brooke Ashley Rucker, and Jin Ju Song-Begin. Costumes by Arlene Shechet. Sound design by Tei Blow. Produced by Storm King Art Center and Big Dance Theater.
TICKETS
Our ticketing system is currently down due to the global outage. A limited number of tickets are available upon entry. Please arrive promptly at 6:45pm to purchase tickets at the admission booth.
Additional performances on September 27, 28. Tickets for September dates will be available in August.
ACCESSIBILITY
Terrain and Getting Around
A tram will run to carry visitors from the parking area to Museum Hill before and after the performance. The tram is wheelchair accessible and can accommodate two standard wheelchairs at a time. The performance will take place on and near Museum Hill. Much of the performance will occur on mostly level mown grass. Two sculptures are sited off to the top of Museum Hill and require traversing an incline. Expect to cover about half a mile during the performance. Folding stools will be available.
Cart Service
A golf cart may be requested to assist with moving between sculptures during the performance. Service is available on a first come, first served basis. Please make a request in advance by emailing info@stormkingartcenter.org.
Restrooms
ADA portable restroom stalls are located near the parking area.
The indoor restrooms on Museum Hill are equipped with somewhat accessible stalls. These stalls include grab bars but are too narrow to accommodate the full turning radius of most wheelchairs.
ASL interpretation available on request.
If you have questions or need other accommodations, please email info@stormkingartcenter.org.
