Health & Safety

Storm King Art Center remains temporarily closed to visitors in compliance with the state’s New York Forward Guidelines. Public programs and events through June 30 have been canceled, including the Summer Solstice Celebration and all group visits.

While we don’t have a firm reopening date, we are working in coordination with Mid-Hudson Regional authorities to align with New York Forward plans to reopen the state in phases. We miss welcoming visitors at this time of year, but will only reopen when we’re legally permitted and fully prepared to do so in a way that’s safe for our staff, site, visitors, and community. In the beginning, this will include limiting visitor numbers, pre-purchased timed ticketing, measures to ensure social distancing, and limited on-site amenities. News and schedule updates will be posted to this page and to Storm King’s social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook).

In the meantime, enjoy a bit of what you love about Storm King, from home! The Storm King at Home page puts our digital resources right at your fingertips: collection artworks, past exhibitions, videos from our artist community, and art-making activities for children and families. You can also stay connected by signing up for our biweekly email newsletter or sending a note to hello@stormkingartcenter.org.

We know that you are eager to engage with art and nature again, and your continued support and well wishes are very much appreciated by all of us at Storm King. We look forward to welcoming visitors to the Art Center as soon as we are safely able to do so—and hope that day isn’t too far off.
