Children & Families: Halloween Costume Spectacular!

Young child dressed up as a pirate for Halloween sits on the grass next to big bright orange pumpkins.Join artist and performer Erica Enriquez in the 2026 Storm King Art Center Halloween Costume Spectacular! Arrive already dressed for the stage or construct your very own cardboard costume on site in this all ages, two-part event.

From 12-2pm meet us in our Costume Factory, where Erica will help participants transform into the creatures of their wildest dreams! Using locally sourced, recyclable materials, costume stations will be set up to accommodate the imaginations of children and adults alike.

Then from 2-3pm, join us for our culminating runway walk! Erica will be your humble pageant host, presenting all the gorgeous ghouls and goblins of Storm King as they strut through the Meadows!

Erica Enriquez (b. Newburgh, NY) is an artist based in Queens, NY. Erica received her BFA in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2019 and MFA from Columbia University School of the Arts with a concentration in Expanded Practice: Sculpture in 2024. She is currently a resident at CPR – Center for Performance Research and a Performance AIRspace resident at Abrons Art Center. Her work considers sculpture, video, photography, painting, and sound as collaborators for performance. Erica has shared her work internationally, and is also the conductor of NYC’s No.1 Train Themed Rock Band CHOO CHOO, which is available on all music platforms. All aboard!

ACCESSIBILITY

Terrain and Getting Around
The tour will take place on grass, just off of a paved path. The program location is about 1/4 mile from the entrance along mostly level paved paths near the Outdoor Café.

Restrooms
Accessible, single-occupancy restroom stalls are located in the Outdoor Lobby, near the entrance. Portable restrooms are located close to the program location off a level gravel path at the Outdoor Café.

ASL interpretation, and Assistive Listening Devices with T-coil capabilities are available upon request at least two weeks in advance. Every effort will be made to honor requests made with less notice.
