Group Visits
Storm King offers discounted group admission for 12 or more people from schools, businesses, non-profit organizations, and tourism groups arriving in an oversized vehicle. Advance reservations are required and availability is limited—please plan ahead! Group visit requests should be submitted at least four weeks in advance of your desired date, and must be confirmed three weeks in advance of the visit. We are currently accepting requests for 2024 only.
Blackout dates: Group reservations are not available on Tuesdays, holiday weekends, weekends during our peak season (September 21st through November 10th), or during special ticketed hours/events. Reserved tours, trams, and bikes are available on weekday visits only.

Adult Guided Walking Tours
$250 per 25 people
Guided tours for adult groups at Storm King Art Center are conversational learning experiences led by docents and museum educators. Participants are invited to ask questions and share observations while exploring four to five artworks in relation to the surrounding landscape. Guided tours last 45-60 minutes. Chose one of the following tour options.
Be prepared for moderate walking on uneven terrain. More accessible routes may be planned with advance notice. We strongly recommend groups reserving tours allot at least 3 hours for their visit to Storm King.
- Art & Landscape Tour
Investigate the ways in which art and landscape interact and support one another at Storm King Art Center. Tours may include discussion of site-specific artwork, earthwork, or landscape architecture. These tours take place in the Meadows and North Woods and depart from the outdoor lobby/welcome area. - Museum Hill History and Highlights Tour
Uncover the history of Storm King Art Center and explore select artworks from the collection. These tours take place on and around Museum Hill. Groups must allow ample time to travel from the outdoor lobby/welcome area to Museum Hill.
Tram Tour
$400 per tram (47 seats)
Wednesday-Friday before 12pm only
The Tram Tour consists of a tram ride around the grounds accompanied by a pre-recorded audio track, which includes information about Storm King’s history, art, and landscape. Length: 30-45 minutes. Trams are wheelchair accessible and can accommodate two wheelchairs.

All groups are encouraged to utilize our free digital guide on Bloomberg Connects, the arts and culture app. Explore interactive activities, audio and video commentary by artists and Storm King staff, suggested routes and more. Lunch
Picnic tables are available on a first come, first served basis at the designated North and South Picnic Areas. Please help our staff maintain a clean environment for all our visitors by picking up after your group and placing all trash and recycling into bins.
Lunch Pre-Orders: Group lunches are available for pre-order directly from our café partner, Fresh Company. Please confirm your order at least two weeks prior to your scheduled visit. All lunches are packaged in individual bags and can be picked up at the Food Truck, located near the South Picnic Area. View Group lunch menu >
Bike Rentals — Fridays only beginning May 10
$30 per person, minimum of 2 hours
$15 per person, additional hours
$75 per person, daily rate
Daily rates apply to any reservation after 12pm. Limit of 20 bikes per reservation.

Payment in-full must be received 2 weeks prior to your scheduled visit to secure booking (check or credit card). Detailed payment instructions will be included with a reservation confirmation.
Rescheduling is based upon availability during the same calendar year. Any cancellation made at least 4 weeks prior to the date of your visit will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 2–4 weeks in advance will be refunded 50%. Cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the date of your visit will not be issued a refund.

K-12 Schools and Camps
Group Admission Rates
Chaperones/Adults: $10*
Student/Youth: $5
We are pleased to offer free admission to schools that receive Title I funding, as well as all public schools from Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster, and Sullivan counties.
*Note: One chaperone is required for every ten students, including high school students. Please review our guidelines for chaperones to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip to Storm King.
Guided Walking Tours
$125 per 25 people/free for Regional and Title I schools
Students and chaperones will spend 45-60 minutes with a museum educator exploring three to four artworks through close looking and inquiry-based discussions. Students may be invited to engage in activities such as writing, drawing, and/or movement to express their observations. Be prepared for moderate walking on uneven terrain. More accessible routes may be planned with advanced notice.
Choose one of our three thematic tours, which allow students to approach the art through a specific lens, both at Storm King and in the classroom; An accompanying teacher resource for each theme helps teachers prepare students for their visit, as well as offers recommendations for post-visit activities.
- Art & Landscape
Investigate the ways in which art and landscape interact and support one another at Storm King Art Center. Educators may build the experience around site-specific artwork, earthwork, or landscape architecture. - Sculpture: A 3-D Experience
Explore elements of design like form, scale, abstraction, and positive and negative space through sculpture sited in the landscape. Discover how artists express their ideas through three-dimensional forms and how sculpture differs from painting and drawing. - Material Matters
Compare the variety of sculptural materials on view at Storm King and consider how material impacts meaning. Educators may build the experience around process, texture, the use of everyday objects, or juxtaposing materials.

For school groups bringing lunch: Our staff will work with you to determine when and where your group will picnic. Give all lunches, packed in as few boxes or bins as possible, to our staff during bus drop off. Staff will transport lunches to your picnic area.
