Group Visits
Storm King welcomes groups of 12 or more people arriving in an oversized vehicle(s) from schools, universities, non-profit and community organizations, businesses, and tour operators. All groups must have a reservation and requests must be submitted at least three weeks in advance. Availability is limited, please plan ahead!

Blackout dates: Groups are not permitted onsite on Tuesdays, holiday Mondays, peak weekends (Saturdays and Sundays from September 16 – November 12), or during special ticketed hours/events.
Add-ons: Tours, trams, reserved picnic areas, and other add-ons are available for weekday visits only.

GROUP RATES
Group rates are available to parties of 12 or more. To receive the group rate, groups must have a confirmed pre-paid reservation. School, university, and non-profit groups receive a 50% discount off the rates listed below.
- Car (Up to 6 people): $110
- Van / Mini-coach (Up to 14 seats): $250
- Mini-Bus (Up to 40 seats): $600
- Coach / School Bus (up to 56 seats): $800
School Groups
Schools receive 50% off the admission rates listed above. We are pleased to offer schools that receive Title I funding free admission. Public school groups visiting from Orange, Putman, Dutchess, Ulster, and Sullivan counties receive free admission. One chaperone is required for every ten students, including high school students.

Self-Guided Tour Resources
Educators and school group leaders are welcome to use Storm King’s teaching resources to plan a self-guided experience of exploring ideas and artworks. These resources offer pre-visit ideas to prepare for your trip, tips and tools for onsite engagement, and post-visit activity prompts for continued exploration. Walking Tours for K-12 School Groups: Free
Storm King’s specially trained docents and educators lead tours that are 45-60 minutes long. Tours offer an introduction to the Art Center and generally take place on and around Museum Hill. Please be prepared to cover up to one mile on grass including some hills. More accessible routes may be planned with advanced notice.
Teachers with a special interest in particular works or themes should specify this on their reservation request. When possible, our staff will work with the group leader to tailor a tour to the group’s interest.
Walking tours must be requested at least three weeks in advance of your visit and are subject to docent availability.
Docent-Guided Highlights Tour
$150 per 25 people, $75 for Colleges/Universities
Storm King’s specially trained docents lead walking tours that include information and history about Storm King Art Center and key works from the collection on Museum Hill. Tours typically cover up to one mile on grass. More accessible routes may be planned with advanced notice. Length: 45 minutes – 1 hour.
Exhibition Tour
$250 per 25 people
Walking tours that focus on works from Storm King’s seasonal exhibitions. While primarily exhibition focused, these tours can weave in general information about the Art Center depending on the interest of the group. Length: 1 hour.
Tram Tour: South Fields
$225 per tram
The tram will make a loop through Storm King’s South Fields, passing site-specific works and will either play a pre-recorded tour or have a tour guide with information about Storm King’s history, art, and landscape. Each tram tour can seat up to 47 people. Length: 30 – 45 minutes
Tram Tour: Full Loop
$400 per tram, $200 for schools*, free to partner schools
The tram will make a loop through the grounds and will either place a pre-recorded tour or have a tour guide who will provide information about Storm King’s history, art, and landscape. Each tram tour can seat up to 47 people. Length: 45 minutes to 1 hour. *If a tram is needed for accessibility for a school, one tram will be free of charge.
LUNCH
Lunches are available for pre-order through the Outdoor Café partner, Fresh Company. Please order at least two weeks in advance of your visit. All lunches are packaged in individual bags and can be picked up at the Outdoor Café near North Parking. Group Lunch Menu >
Picnic Table Reservation
$500 per area, Free for schools. Picnic areas are located adjacent to the north and south parking lots and can accommodate up to 60 people in each area. Picnic areas are available free of charge for school groups who wish to bring their own lunch. Students should plan to carry their own lunches, or all lunches should be placed in a large box or bin for easy transport to a picnic area by our staff upon arrival.
South Pavilion Reservation
$1,000. The South Pavilion is located adjacent to the south picnic area. It offers a covered space (no sides) with additional picnic tables and can accommodate up to 42 people.
BIKE RENTALS (Adult Groups Only)

YOGA
A guided outdoor yoga session on Storm King’s grounds. All experience levels are welcome.

BEFORE OR AFTER-HOURS EXPERIENCES
$500 per hour for access, add-ons will incur additional cost
Exclusive access to Storm King before we open to the public or after-hours on your group visit. Sunrise or sunset picnics or yoga, may be added for an additional fee. Length: 2 hours maximum
PAYMENT
Payment must be received at least one week in advance of your scheduled visit. We accept check or credit cards. Detailed payment instructions will be included with a reservation confirmation.
Prepare for Your Visit
