The colors, shapes, and textures of the microorganisms found in Yi’s Winogradsky columns will be the source of inspiration for these abstract works of art. This program will be led by Ally Caple.

Ally Caple is an image-based artist and educator located in Brooklyn, New York. Her work in education centers youth and emerging artists, creating curriculum and programs that focus on building visual literacy skills, creative development, and intentional connections. She has completed programs at Purchase College, Studio Museum in Harlem, Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, Magnum Foundation, Center for Photography at Woodstock, and Wassaic Project. Caple’s photographic practice considers surveillance, digital safety, and Black visibility in imagemaking.

ACCESSIBILITY
Terrain and Getting Around
The tour will take place on grass, just off of a paved path. The program location is about 1 mile from the entrance along mostly level paved paths. Visitors may take the free, wheelchair-accessible Tram Loop from stop 1 at the base of the entrance path, to stop 2 near the program location. Trams depart from stop 1 at 15 and 45 minutes after each hour.

Restrooms
Accessible, single-occupancy restroom stalls are located in the Outdoor Lobby, near the entrance. Portable restrooms, including an ADA stall are located about ¼ mile from the program location off a level gravel path.

ASL interpretation, and Assistive Listening Devices with T-coil capabilities are available upon request at least two weeks in advance. Every effort will be made to honor requests made with less notice.
