When

Sunday, May 31, 2026
1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Staff member stands in gallery next to hanging artwork, and work laid out on a moving blanket waiting to be hung.

In the first of the Art/Work series, Members will hear from Gina Guddemi, Storm King’s Registrar & Collections Manager. As the “voice for the artworks,” Guddemi is responsible for protecting and preserving Storm King’s permanent collection as well as all works in the possession of the Art Center, mitigating all risks associated with its exhibition and the safety of those that are viewing it.

Membership Manager Scotty Arnold will host a conversation with Guddemi, spanning topics from the specifics of her role and how she found her specialty to favorite memories of her time at Storm King, followed by questions from the audience. Complimentary iced tea and water will be provided.

  • Free for Members, registration is required.
  • Event will take place at the South Pavilion, which is a 10–15-minute walk from the entrance. Please plan accordingly.

About the Speaker:
Gina Guddemi is an art world professional with expert experiences in project management, exhibition coordination, and logistics. In addition to her work with Storm King beginning in 2023, her resume includes collaborations with Sotheby’s, Metro Pictures, and the Studio Museum.

Art/Work:
This program series gives Members the opportunity to learn more about who and what makes Storm King run. Go behind the scenes with curated conversations with the experts working at Storm King! Each date will highlight a different facet of the museum as staff members talk about what they do and how their work helps make Storm King a singular place to visit.

ACCESSIBILITY

This event will take place in Storm King’s South Pavilion, a 10–15-minute walk from the site entrance. The conversation will be amplified as needed. If you require assistance to the South Pavilion, please let us know your access needs at membership@stormkingartcenter.org.

Restrooms
Accessible, single-occupancy restroom stalls are located in the Outdoor Lobby, near the entrance. The indoor restrooms on Museum Hill are equipped with somewhat accessible stalls. These stalls include grab bars but are too narrow to accommodate the full turning radius of most wheelchairs.

ASL interpretation, and Assistive Listening Devices for guided tours are available upon request at least 7 business days in advance. Every effort will be made to honor requests made with less notice.

If you have questions or need other accommodations, please email membership@stormkingartcenter.org.
