Moonlit Walk + Stargazing

Enjoy art and nature under a full moon with Storm King educators and explore the night sky with the Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association. Experience Storm King from sunset through moonrise during this special guided, after-hours event. Wear comfortable shoes, and dress in layers, as it often cools down quite a bit in the evening. Registration is required and space is limited.
TICKETS
- Purchase tickets here. Tickets will be available on September 15 at 10AM (September 14 for members).
- $25 per person; $10 for Members
- Guided tours begin at 7PM. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to leave enough time for checking in. Tours will stop at the telescopes to view the night sky and end around 8:30PM.
- This event takes place after regular Art Center hours. If you would like to visit Storm King before the program, General Admission must be purchased separately.
- Stargazing will be held weather permitting. The guided tours will go ahead rain or shine.
The Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association (MHAA) is a group of amateur astronomy enthusiasts based in the Mid-Hudson region of New York state. Our purpose is to share our knowledge and the excitement of astronomy with members, students, and the general public.

Free Admission Options
Admission is free for SNAP participants/EBT cardholders via the Museums for All program, as well as caregivers accompanying a visitor with a disability. Please email info@stormkingartcenter.org to request tickets.
GUIDED TOURS
Guided tours begin at 7PM near the entrance. This is a guided experience through Storm King and attendees are not allowed to wander outside the program area before, during, or after the tour. Attendees must stay with the tour leader throughout the visit.
AMENITIES
Visitor amenities such as the Outdoor Cafe, Bike Rentals, and Tram Loop will not be available during Moonlit Walks.

Restrooms
Accessible, single-occupancy restroom stalls are located in the Outdoor Lobby, near the entrance.
Terrain and Getting Around
Most tours take place across varied terrain including hills, wooded areas, paved paths, gravel paths, and mown lawn. Expect to cover 1 to 1.5 miles on the tour. One tour leader will stay on mostly level paved pathways throughout.
ASL interpretation, and Assistive Listening Devices for guided tours are available upon request at least 7 business days in advance. Every effort will be made to honor requests made with less notice.
