Liz Glynn’s Folly (1-2-3) activates her installation Open House with a deconstructed waltz slowly decaying in the landscape and gestures toward new construction. Audiences are welcome to wander through the durational performance as the sun sets.

PERFORMER BIOS

Dana Tagliaferro is an Asian-American dancer and artist from New Jersey. She graduated from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY with degrees in Neuroscience and Dance. As a member of the Vassar Repertory Dance Theater, led by John Meehan and Steve Rooks, she performed in original works by Mike Tyus, Shannon Gillen, Desmond Richardson, Yoshito Sakuraba, Leslie Partridge-Sachs, Darrell Moultrie, and Amy Hall Garner. Dana is currently a freelance dancer in NYC with Woman in Motion Dance Company and BEings Dance. Other performance credits include Carnival Choreographers’ Ball, Bloc Dance Festival, Dumbo Dance Festival, New Century Dance Project, and Young Choreographer’s Festival.

Ben Russell is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and singer, who loves to create music of all kinds with musicians around the world. Living in NYC for close to 20 years, Ben performs with countless artists on the stage, in the studio, on the screen, on soundtracks, on Broadway, and in concert halls big and small. He can be heard on GRAMMY-winning albums, on Emmy-winning soundtracks, on late night television, and on popular streaming playlists receiving millions of listens per month. He performs with “impressive expressivity and musicality” (The Strad) combined with “spiky, down-home fiddle and soaring violin lines” (Apple Music Classical). Ben resides in Brooklyn, NY but also tours extensively around the globe with orchestras, small ensembles, dance companies and pop artists from multiple genres.

ACCESSIBILITY
Terrain, Getting Around, and Additional Accommodations
The performance will take place around Liz Glynn’s installation Open House, located in Tippet’s Field (number 830 on the visitor map). The artwork sits in a grassy field with flat areas and a gentle rise. The route from the entrance to the artwork is along a mostly flat paved pathway. The performance will take place on grass. There is limited shade at the program location.

Restrooms
ADA restrooms are located in the Outdoor Lobby at the entrance. ADA portable restroom stalls are located near the South Pavilion. The stalls are located on flat grass about 100ft from a paved pathway.
