Children & Families: Creek Mapping

Engage your senses to explore the creek’s ecosystem and discover how it connects to the larger Hudson Valley watershed. This program will be led by Mikayla Spierer.

Mikayla Spierer is a mixed media artist and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. Her sculptural work explores the intersections of organic and constructed forms, material transformation, and the body. As an educator, she utilizes embodied exploration and map making to engage students in the ever-evolving questions of where we are.

ACCESSIBILITY

Terrain and Getting Around
The tour will take place on grass, just off of a paved path. The program location is about 1/4 mile from the entrance along mostly level paved paths near the Outdoor Café.

Restrooms
Accessible, single-occupancy restroom stalls are located in the Outdoor Lobby, near the entrance. Portable restrooms are located close to the program location off a level gravel path at the Outdoor Café.

ASL interpretation, and Assistive Listening Devices with T-coil capabilities are available upon request at least two weeks in advance. Every effort will be made to honor requests made with less notice.
