  • Program location: Meet in the South Fields
  • Suggested age range: All ages are welcome.
  • This program is in English and Spanish
  • Free with admission, no registration required.

Jeannette Rodríguez Píneda is a queer afro-indigenous visual storyteller and education designer whose practice weaves together ethnobotany and plant based photographic processes. Their work reflects on the closely related subjects of permanence, memory, cycles and intergenerational trauma. They collaborate with cultural spaces to design art, ecology and mindfulness programs that decolonize canon based models of learning through a decentralized approach.  With a life practice deeply rooted in creativity as ancestral knowledge, Rodriguez Pineda believes in a somatic knowing through the process of creation.  They are also a licensed backcountry guide, leading free bilingual hikes through Movimiento, an initiative to strengthen bipoc connection to land.
