In a newly commissioned performance, Growth: The Watch, Kevin Beasley and collaborators examine the constellation of human experiences in the Summer season, often referred to as the growing period in agriculture, through gesture, sound and movement. Backdropped by Proscenium | Growth: The Watch, the performance reveals the body as a steward, shapeshifter, and participant in the environmental conditions of the outdoors through the lens of sharecropping and migration.

Important Notes:
• This performance is free with admission and takes place in Tippet’s Field near Kevin Beasley’s PROSCENIUM| Rebirth/Growth: The Watch/Harvest/Dormancy: On Reflection (number 860 on the visitor map).
• The performance runs approximately 80 minutes without intermission.
• There is limited shade at the program location. Please come prepared with a hat, sunscreen, and water. Cold water, and a shaded cooling area will be available near the performance. Hand fans will be available on a first come, first-served basis.
• The audience will stand or sit on grass. Folding stools will be available on a first come, first served basis.
• Note that the performance time may change in response to weather. Please check this page for most current schedule.
• Audience members are sharing space with the performers—please be mindful of your surroundings and follow guidance from Storm King staff on where to stand. Remain flexible and prepared to move if needed. For everyone’s safety, please do not enter the performance space or approach performers unless requested to do so.

ACCESSIBILITY
Terrain, Getting Around, and Additional Accommodations
The performance will take place around Kevin Beasley’s PROSCENIUM| Rebirth/Growth: The Watch/Harvest/Dormancy: On Reflection located in Tippet’s Field (number 860 on the visitor map). The artwork sits in a grassy field with flat areas and a gentle rise. The route from the entrance to the artwork is along a mostly flat paved pathway. The performance will take place on grass. Folding stools are available on a first come, first-served basis, and a limited number of folding chairs are available on request. There is limited shade at the program location. Cold water, hand fans, sunscreen, and cooling areas will be available.
Golf Cart Service
A wheelchair-accessible golf cart is available to assist with getting to and from the performance. Service is offered on a first come, first served basis. You may request a ride by talking with a staff member onsite or in advance by emailing info@stormkingartcenter.org.
Restrooms
ADA restrooms are located in the outdoor lobby at the entrance.
ADA portable restroom stalls are located near the South Pavilion. The stalls are located on flat grass about 100ft from a paved pathway.
